    Susquehanna Health Announces New Family Medicine Residency Director

    Susquehanna Health recently announced a change in leadership for the Williamsport Regional Medical Center Family Medicine Residency Program. Dr. Bradley Miller was appointed program director of the Family Medicine Residency Program effective October 10, following the retirement of Dr. David Ambrose.

    Susquehanna Health recently announced a change in leadership for the Williamsport Regional Medical Center Family Medicine Residency Program. Dr. Bradley Miller was appointed program director of the Family Medicine Residency Program effective October 10, following the retirement of Dr. David Ambrose. “Dr. Miller has proven to be an exceptional asset to our residency, medical staff and community. He brings to the table a host of talents and qualifications—both clinically and administratively,” said Dr. Ambrose. “I am confident in Dr. Miller’s continued success with the residency program and welcome him wholeheartedly to his expanded leadership role.”

    Dr. Miller has served as the program’s director of osteopathic medical education for the past five years. A graduate of the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. Miller completed an allopathic residency in family medicine at Geisinger Medical Center. He is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians and is a fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians. “It is a pleasure and an honor to have been chosen as the new program director of the residency program,” said Dr. Miller. “I am committed to preserving this program’s reputation as a premier family medicine residency in the eastern United States, while leading us through new approaches that foster excellence in resident education and clinical care.”

    Dr. Ambrose led the Family Medicine Residency for 15 years as program director and is a former chief resident and graduate of the program. Throughout his tenure, Dr. Ambrose also served as the medical director of the South Williamsport-based Little League Baseball World Series with assistance from the resident doctors. Dr. Ambrose will continue seeing patients on a part-time basis while serving as a preceptor to the residents in the Family Medicine Residency Center.
