    Syrian Expatriate Organization Warns of Repeated Brutality in Damascus Suburb, Zabadani, Today

    Following the deadly attacks on Homs, which left over 260 people dead; The Syrian Expatriate Organization is concerned over the Local coordination committee reports that: Zabadani, a suburb of Damascus, is in imminent danger, and will face a bloody crackdown, similar to the one Homs faced on February 3rd 2012 (http://www.reuters.com/article/2012/02/04/us-usa-syria-clinton-idUSTRE8130KO20120204).

    Following the deadly attacks on Homs-Syria, which left over 260 people dead, The Syrian Expatriate Organization is concerned over the Local coordination committee reports that: Zabadani, a suburb of Damascus, is in imminent danger and will face a bloody crackdown similar to the one Homs faced on February 3rd 2012; This came in concordance with the Secretary of State, Mrs Hillary Clinton's Statement; "If we do not begin the process, I know what will happen: more bloodshed, increasing resistance by those whose families are being killed and whose homes are being bombed, and a greater likelihood that Syria will descend into civil war."

    According to a report by The Telegraph, "The Syrian army unleashed a massive attack on the city of Homs early on Saturday morning, bombing the protest hub and killing at least 260 people in a bloody 'massacre,' activists and witnesses said."

    The Syrian Expatriates Organization board member, Mr Louay Sakka said, "Syrian regime is responding to the international community, by brutally murdering those that, the UNSC resolution would protect, Assad's forces are murdering, torturing, and detaining citizens for any form of opposition to the government. Families in their entirety are dying, under the rubble of their homes, after government forces mortared three buildings. Their cries of help are going unanswered."

    The Syrian Expatriates Organization calls for people, to continue protesting, at the Syrian embassies worldwide, to show solidarity with the Syrian people. SEO board member Mr Louay Sakka said:" It is urgent that: the bloodshed of innocent citizens ceases, in the fight for freedom and that, the brutal actions of government forces on Homs, are prevented in Zabadani."
