T-Mobile to Sell Samsung Galaxy S5 for $0 Down

T-Mobile will begin offering pre-orders for the Samsung Galaxy S5 on March 24th for $0 up front. Then you'll be charged $27.50 per month during the course of 24 months, for a grand total of $660 for the handset. Order the smartphone by March 31st and you'll get your hands on the S5 when it hits T-Mobile stores on April 11th.

T-Mobile customers who opt for the carrier's new $50 Simple Choice Plan will get 1GB of 4G LTE data, unlimited 2G data, unlimited talk and text. You'll also get unlimited global data and texting at no additional cost, as well as unlimited international texting from within the U.S. If you want more than that, you can unlimited 4G LTE and 5GB of wireless tethering in addition to unlimited talk and text for $80 per month.

AT&T is also offering pre-orders for the Galaxy S5 starting on March 21st for $199 with a two-year contract or $25 per month with the carrier's Next early upgrade program. Like T-Mobile, AT&T will ship the S5 to customers in early April. Ma Bell is also offering the Samsung's Gear 2 for $299 and the Gear 2 Neo and Gear Fit for $199 each. T-Mobile hasn't announced pricing for the smartwatches yet.

The Galaxy S5 features a 5.1-inch, 1080p Super AMOLED display and quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor with 2GB of RAM. Inside, you get 16GB or 32GB of data with a 64GB microSD card. Around back is a 16-megapixel camera paired with a 5-megapixel shooter up-front.

The S5 is also kicking things up a notch with its health and fitness capabilities thanks to its improved S Health app and integrated heart rate monitor.
