T-Mobile snubbed by iPhone yet again, report claims

Pity poor T-Mobile. Not only is it the only major U.S. carrier to not offer the iPhone, but it has had to sit back and watch smaller players such as Virgin Mobile and Cricket get their hands on Apple’s popular smartphone while T-Mobile is still left out in the cold. And if a new report from the Puget Sound Business Journal is correct, T-Mobile will miss out on the iPhone again this year either. According to the Journal, T-Mobile chief marketing officer Cole Brodman recently held a “town meeting” with T-Mobile employees where he disclosed that T-Mobile would not get the “iPhone 5” on its network when the device is released in the fall. If T-Mobile does not get the next-generation iPhone, it will at least in part be because it will be the only carrier in the U.S. to not have an LTE network up and running by the fall.
