Tampa woman, 56, dies after traveling off the road, colliding with trees, troopers say

A 56-year-old Tampa woman died Tuesday morning when her SUV traveled off the road and collided with several trees.

The crash happened about 6 a.m. Tuesday along Interstate 75 near Immokalee Road, in Naples, according to an incident report from the Florida Highway Patrol.

Her SUV was traveling north on Interstate 75 when she traveled off the roadway and collided with several trees.

Officials pronounced dead at the scene. Four passengers riding with her, ages 33; 34; 5; and 27, suffered minor injuries.

Troopers continue to investigate this crash.
