Tea-flavored beef anyone? Tea to spice up barbecue racks

A tea-infused blend of herbs and spices like cumin and coriander, and a set of specially designed tea cups created to optimize the flavor and aroma of specific teas have been named some of the best new products ahead of the largest tea expo in the world.

In advance of the World Tea Expo, which opens in Las Vegas in June, organizers have announced the winners of the 10 Best New Product Award Winners.

Here are some of the highlights:

    Tea Ware Winner
This new line of tea cups borrows from the principles of wine. Just as different kinds of wine are best enjoyed in specific stemware, 1660 London, made up of luxury ceramist Peter Ting and ‘tea smith’ Tim d’Offay, has produced a range of three tasting cups in different shapes designed specially to release the full aromas and flavors of green and black teas.

    Innovation Winner
Designed to work in disposable water bottles, the Slim Steeper Cold Brew Tea Infuser by The Tea Spot can make cold brew tea with loose leaves in 10 minutes. A bit of a paradox, however, as the product is supposed to be eco-friendly but works with disposable water bottles.
