Teenager drowns in pool at St. Paul apartment building
A 19-year-old drowned in a pool at a St. Paul apartment building Wednesday, according to the Ramsey County sheriff’s office.
The sheriff’s office water patrol responded to the 1900 block of Burns Avenue in the Battle Creek neighborhood just before 10 p.m. The teen had been found underwater in an indoor pool and it was believed he’d been there for about 30 minutes, said Steve Linders, sheriff’s office spokesman.
He was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities are investigating his death.
