The idea of prom is enough to make any teen nervous. But one high schooler is already poised to have the best prom ever thanks to a touching 'promposal' that's going viral.

Vee Nguyen, from Everett High School, Lansing, MI, used the school's pep rally as a platform to ask her best friend, Ben Davis, 16, to prom. In a moment that Davis, a special needs student, will never forget he was brought out on the gym floor, with hundreds of students looking on from the bleachers.

There, a group of three students showed him a box that said, "I'll ask you to prom when pigs fly!" The box then opened up to pink, floating balloons made to look like pigs. Nguyen immediately lit up with happiness, and the crowd went wild. His wheelchair was then turned around to find Nguyen, 19, and five of her friends wearing shirts that spelled out "Prom?" and a gold heart at the end. Nguyen then asked him to her senior prom. He accepted and hugged her and handed her a rose as the cheers grow louder. Their prom will be on May 13.

The video of the promposal has gone viral, with over three million views. Nguyen and Davis have been friends since 2014 when they met during his freshman orientation. At the time, Nguyen was working with the school's program that helps disabled students. Davis has Pantothenate Kinase-Associated Neurodegeneration (PKAN), a rare condition resulting from mutations in the PANK2 gene.

While Nguyen never expected the video to go viral, she's glad it did. "Appearance will eventually get old but personality is what make a person beautiful. And if everyone could look past the physical appearance every time they meet someone, this world would be a better place," she told the Detroit Free Press.
