    TERIS Northern California eDiscovery Professionals Awarded Prestigious Industry-Recognized Legal Technology Industry Certifications

    TERIS Bay Area announced today that three of its professionals have been awarded industry-recognized technical certifications, further enhancing the company's ability to provide custom technology solutions for its growing roster of corporate clients, as well as demonstrating its commitment to ongoing professional development.

    Mike Dejopopompak, EnCE, received Guidance Software's EnCE Certification (EnCase Certified Examiner), Jason Tanner earned the GIAC Certified Forensic Examiner (GCFE) certification (issued by the SANS institute) while Meghan Brosnahan completed her PMP (Project Management Professional) certification.

    Dejopopompak received Guidance Software's EnCE Certification (EnCase Certified Examiner). The EnCE certification is widely recognized by the courts and well respected within the digital forensics community. “Earning my EnCE further legitimizes my credibility with regards to doing forensic collections and analysis,” said Dejopopompak. “Having this validation of a strong understanding of file systems, artifacts (digital evidence of user activity), and sound investigative techniques enables TERIS to have more substantive consultations with Clients.” He added many states now require computer forensic expert witnesses have professional certification.

    Tanner earned the GIAC Certified Forensic Examiner (GCFE) certification, which focuses on the critical knowledge of the Windows Operating System that every digital forensic analyst must know to investigate computer incidents successfully. “The GCFE covers how computer forensic analysts focus on collecting and analyzing data from the computer systems to track user-based activity that could be used internally or in civil/criminal litigation,” Tanner said. “SANS is by far the largest resource for Information Security training and certification institute in the world and I plan to continue with additional certifications in the forensic pipeline offered by SANS.”

    In addition to the GCFE, Tanner also hold the following additional certifications:


    Certified Computer Examiner from the Intl Society of Computer Forensic Examiners (CCE)


    Guidance Software's EnCase Certified Examiner (EnCE)


    Accessdata Certified Examiner (ACE)


    Comptia A+ Certified Technician (A+)

    Brosnahan completed her PMP (Project Management Professional) certification, which recognizes demonstrated competence in leading and directing project teams. Project Management Professional (PMP)® credential is the most important industry-recognized certification for project managers. Globally recognized and demanded, the PMP® demonstrates that one has the experience, education and competency to successfully lead and direct projects. “Projects have become more complex and demanding in our industry,” said Brosnahan. “The knowledge and technical skills I learned through the certification process ensures that I'm even better prepared to address any project management challenge presented by clients.”
