Tesla extends losses; United grounded; Alcoa slips ahead of earnings

Tesla

Tesla (TSLA) lost more ground in the session, extending Tuesday's sell-off. The stock was hit with another analyst downgrade. This time, Pacific Crest cut the electric carmaker to "sector weight" from "overweight". The firm's price target is set at $293 dollars a share, which is still more than 9% above Tuesday's closing price.

Alcoa 

Alcoa (AA) slipped ahead of unofficially kicking off second quarter earnings season. The aluminum producer will report after Wednesday's close. The Street is expecting earnings of $0.23 a share on sales of about $5.8 billion.

United Continental Holdings

Shares of United Continental (UAL) fell after its flights were forced to stay on the ground. United's planes are back in the air after being halted for departures for less than an hour. The FAA said "automation issues" triggered the move. This the second time in less than six weeks, the carrier has taken such a step because of computer problems.
