Houston Texans inside linebacker Brian Cushing, who sustained a concussion during last Sunday's game against the Seattle Seahawks, is cleared to play.
Texans coach Gary Kubiak said Friday that Cushing passed the NFL's concussion protocol and will play Sunday against the San Francisco 49ers.
Cushing was injured in the third quarter of the 23-20 overtime loss to Seattle and did not return after being evaluated for a concussion. He had nine tackles, one quarterback hurry and one forced fumble.
