The most beautiful person on Capitol Hill is Sen. Jeff Flake.
That is according to The Hill, which released its 10th annual list of the "50 Most Beautiful" people Wednesday.
The 50-year-old Arizona Republican is "a walking advertisement for the benefits of healthy living," The Hill said. Flake, a Mormon, says he has never tried coffee, tea, alcohol or tobacco, though he does drink Diet Coke.
Flake, who sits on the U.S. Senate Special Committee on Aging, "doesn’t look anywhere close to that age."
While Flake says he's flattered by the George Clooney-like honor and increased national profile, he has no interest in running for higher office.
“When I look in the mirror, I don’t see the president,” Flake said. “I see someone who lucked out in getting elected to the House and was even luckier in getting elected to the Senate.”
The freshman senator and member of the so-called Gang of Eight achieved Internet infamy in 2009 as a member of the House when shirtless photos from a desert island "survivalist" vacation were published online.
According to The Hill, the most beautiful woman in Washington is Kirby Bumpus, a 27-year-old Democratic strategist and daughter of CBS News' Gayle King.
