    And Then There Were Three – Petplan Pet Insurance Selects Finalists for 2012 Veterinarian of the Year Awards

    Petplan pet insurance seeks to honor veterinarians for their impact on veterinary medicine and superior customer service

    Petplan Pet Insurance, America’s No. 1-rated pet insurance provider, is delighted to announce the three finalists for the 2012 “Vet of the Year Award.”


    2012 Finalists Are:


    • Dr. Corinne Majeska, Companion Pet Hospital – Philadelphia, PA

    • Dr. Richard Palmquist, Centinela Animal Hospital – Inglewood, CA

    • Dr. Alan Stewart, San Francisco Veterinary Specialists – San Francisco, CA

    The Petplan Vet of the Year Awards judging panel whittled a list of 10 shortlisted veterinarians to a final three after reviewing a questionnaire completed by each veterinarian, and considering more than 3,000 votes from each of the shortlisted vet’s clients and colleagues. Nominations were open from August to December 31, 2011. More than 2,000 vets nationwide were nominated for this award.

    The 2012 finalist veterinarians were selected for their impact on veterinary medicine, commitment to providing an exceptional level of care to pets and their exemplary customer service to “wow” pet parents.     

    The 2012 Vet of the Year Award winner will be announced on February 29, 2012. The winning veterinarian and his or her guest will be flown, all expenses paid, to the UK in April to accept their award at the Petplan Vet of the Year Awards, held in tandem with the 2012 World Veterinary Congress and hosted by Petplan UK – the world’s oldest and largest pet insurance provider and Petplan’s sister company.
