These Are The Names Belonging To The UK’s Nicest And Naughtiest Children

Could your child’s name influence his or her behaviour? According to a new study it might.

Just in time for Christmas, a survey conducted by School Stickers has revealed which names well-behaved children are likely to have and the ones belonging to kids prone to getting in trouble. Santa’s life has suddenly become a whole lot easier.

Looking at 70,000 school children who kept track of their behaviour in online sticker books, the poll’s results shows that girls called Anna, Courtney, Millie, Mia and Grace are most likely to be good while those named Leah, Eleanor, Jasmine, Abigail and Olivia tend to be naughtier.

The study also pinpointed the names that both naughty and nice boys have. The most obedient boys are named Harry, Ryan, Ethan, Lewis and Ben, while those likely to stir up trouble are called Joseph, James, Joshua, Luke and Samuel.

But before you panic that your child’s name is a sign of things to come, you should know that this list is just a bit of fun and not meant to be taken seriously, says Neil Hodges, managing director of School Stickers.

“There are many children called Leah and Joseph who are perfect little angels, just as there are many called Harry and Anna who Santa is watching!”
