    The Third Annual Georgia Partnership for TeleHealth (GPT) conference, Medicine That Reaches Out…will bring together leaders in the field of telehealth for a comprehensive overview of this rapidly expanding area of healthcare delivery. The Conference will be held in Greensboro, GA March 14-16, 2012 at the Ritz-Carlton, Reynolds Plantation. Registration is currently open.

    The Third Annual Georgia Partnership for TeleHealth (GPT) conference, Medicine That Reaches Out…, will bring together leaders in the field of telehealth for a comprehensive overview of this rapidly expanding area of healthcare delivery. The Conference will be held in Greensboro, GA March 14-16, 2012 at the Ritz-Carlton, Reynolds Plantation. Registration is currently open.

    This conference is a meeting of professionals from all realms of telehealth including healthcare providers, information technology and equipment experts, as well as health information exchange and state and federal initiative representatives.

    GPT has a longstanding and successful track record in providing technical assistance in the development of sustainable, cost effective telehealth programs to serve the rural and medically underserved areas and populations in Georgia. GPT’s success has been built on providing technical assistance and education to its network partners and has been recognized nationally for its robust, statewide network, and is well positioned with the expertise and strong commitment to continue network expansion in Georgia and bordering states in the next year.

    “We look forward to the opportunity to bring our current and future partners together each year for a time to explore best practices and opportunities to expand our programs and technology,” states Paula Guy, CEO.

    The conference will cover topics relevant to the expansion of telehealth models including state and federal initiatives, specialty clinic practices, pediatric resource savings, school-based telehealth programs, telestroke, child advocacy, and meaningful use and Medicare initiatives.

    This year's special guest and plenary speaker will be Andrew Tubman, founder of Musical Health Technologies. Also joining with updates from a federal level will be Jonathan Linkous, CEO, American Telemedicine Association and Paloma Costa, Program Manager of Outreach of the Universal Service Administration Rural Health Program.

    Various sponsors and exhibitors will be in attendance to present the most up-to-date technology, news, and industry updates. Early bird hotel room rates end February 13, 2012 and early registration closes February 29, 2012.
