This eyeliner comes with a tool to create the perfect cat eye

Championed by celebrities from Alexa Chung to Lana del Rey, the cat eye continues to be one of the most enviable (yet nearly impossible to perfect) beauty looks.

I know I’m not the only one who’s been caught pressed up against the mirror, pen in hand, using every ounce of concentration to perfect that tiny little flick at the corner of my eye. Even if I manage to get it on the first shot, my other eye is a whole other mess. It’s a battle.

Knowing that the cat eye trend isn’t going anywhere soon, New York-based makeup artist Dana Rae created Able, a cosmetics line designed to make classic beauty skills easier for those who otherwise wouldn’’t be able. So far, the company has only launched one product, the Cat Eye 101 liner, which is a jet black, long-lasting liner that promises to turn even the biggest beauty rookie into a cat eye master. The trick? An angled cap that can be used to guide the liner up at the corner of your eye.

Check out the step-by-step below:

Step One: Give it a good shake. The liner is made from a cruelty-, gluten-, paraben- and polythalate-free formula that is refillable.

Step Two: Remove the lid and get to work.

Step Three: Draw a simple line across the rim of your lashes. The liner is quick dry so you should have to worry about smudging.

Step Four: Place the cap at the corner of your eye with the 45-degree angle pointing away from your eye.

Step Five: Guide the liner along the angle and voilà: the perfect flick.

Repeat the same steps on the other side and you’ve got yourself matching cat eyes.

The liner is currently available on the Able website for $48. Though the brand hasn’t announced which skill they’ll be tackling next, here’s hoping it has something to do with brows.
