    How does this magic happen? With something called a QR Code. Those who operate a business, non-profit organization, museum, art gallery, school or government agency will absolutely want to know how to use QR Codes.

    QR Codes are two-dimensional barcodes developed in 1994 by Denso-Wave (a subsidiary of Toyota) in Japan. Although commonly used in Japan and South Korea and increasingly in Europe, QR codes are just now appearing in the United States. The codes can contain data which, when scanned with a smartphone's barcode reader, will create an automatic connection to a website. Other data in QR codes can include contact information, links to audio or video, phone numbers, email addresses, and purchases and their payments.

    This book will tell marketers how they can use QR Codes to attract, assist, hang on to and please their customers or visitors. If readers want to know how to use them for personal, educational or governmental use, they'll learn that, too.

    About the Author
