Are you putting your best foot forward in an interview or striking out? Resumé consultant Kent Lee shares three tips to give you the competitive edge.
Be your own biggest fan
Go into your interview with a plan and a purpose. Be prepared to communicate the top three reasons why you are a great fit for the position.
Be a team player
Your interviewer shouldn't be the only one asking questions. Interviews give you an opportunity to differentiate yourself from other candidates by asking great questions. Don't be afraid to have a conversation.
Practice makes perfect
Train your interview muscles. Rehearse your responses with friends and family members to ensure perfect and seamless delivery at the big game.
Finally, Lee adds: "Make sure that you stay positive. If you use these tips, I promise, over time, it will happen for you."
