‘Today’ Show Hosts Hit Streets of New York in Super Bowl Spot (Video)

The “Today” show hosts cheerily bundled up for a stroll through New York’s streets in a Super Bowl XLIX spot for the morning show.

The video features anchors Matt Lauer, Savannah Guthrie, Al Roker, Natalie Morales, Willie Geist, Tamron Hall, Carson Daly, Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb.

“I’m a method actor, as most of you know,” Geist noted in a behind-the-scenes look of the ad.

All take turns posing for pictures with fans while Roker doesn’t resist the chance to show off his dance moves. The ad was directed by Mat Whitecross who’s also behind the video for Coldplay’s “A Sky Full of Stars,” which plays over the commercial.

Taking a note from Budweiser’s popular Clydesdale ad, the “Today” spot also features an adorable puppy.

Executive produced by Don Nash, the news program’s ad joins commercials from Bud Light, BMW and Carl’s Jr, TheWrap previously reported.
