Top 50 Player + Champion Combinations in NA LCS History

This article, Top 50 Player + Champion Combinations in NA LCS History, originally appeared on onGamers.

Four Splits of NA LCS Results

Over the last two years in the NA LCS regular seasons and playoffs, there were 1,156 unique player + champion combinations. This article shows the 50 best combinations in NA LCS history, based on calculating and sorting a unique score (number of wins*win rate*KDA) for each combination. This score helped determine combinations which were played often and were effective. The graphic below shows the results (from all regular season and playoff games).

Noteworthy Takeaways

  • C9 had an impressive 30W-3L record (regular season + playoffs) in summer 2013. Seeing the champions that C9 played often and mostly during that split (Zac, Nasus, Ashe, and Zyra) in the top 50 is not surprising. The players achieved remarkable results on those champions.

  • C9 Meteos had staggeringly high KDAs on certain champions. After his initial dominance in summer 2013 on junglers like Zac and Nasus, Meteos demonstrated proficiency and achieved strong results on other champions, like Lee Sin and Evelynn, throughout following splits. Meteos is the true KDA king in the NA LCS and had 3 of the top 4 combinations and 6 of the top 50.

  • TSM Bjergsen is good on Kassadin.

  • There are four Tristanas in the top 25, including CRS Voyboy’s mid Tristana which went 3-0 and died only one time, earning a 28.00 KDA.

  • There are some combinations, like DIG Patoy on Zyra and CRS Cop on Miss Fortune, that were seen largely during spring 2013, yet were very effective.

  • Some of the well-known combinations, like C9 Balls on Rumble, TSM Dyrus on Renekton, TSM Amazing on Elise, and C9 Hai on Zed are in the list and rightfully so given their win rates and KDAs.

  • #19 and #20 – C9 Sneaky and CLG Doublelift earned nearly identical wins, win rate, and KDA on Lucian, with Doublelift earning more kills and Sneaky earning more assists. It is crazy how close the stats are for the two players.

  • The list is populated largely with the players from the most dominant teams, yet the list contains some of the players from other teams who achieved great results on certain champions.

Hopefully this list shows you how dominant some of the players were on certain champions and highlights some of the effective lesser-known combinations.
