Nov. 30 (Bloomberg) -- American International Group Inc. , the insurer rescued by the U.S., has an $11 billion shortfall in reserves to pay property-casualty claims that may hinder efforts to repay the government, Sanford C. Bernstein said.
HONG KONG -(Dow Jones)- Primus Financial Holdings Ltd. and China Strategic Holdings Ltd. (0235.HK), which were selected by American International Group Inc. (AIG) to buy its Taiwan life insurance unit for US$2.1 billion, said Wednesday they will send a revised application to Taiwanese regulators on the acquisition "hopefully next week."
