Today, I'll tell you a fish story with a local hook. The fish featured in this column has a lot of names. Here they are: its scientific name is Dissostichus eleginoides; a couple of its many nicknames in Chile where it lives in cold, deep water are bacalao de profundidad (cod of the deep) and Patagonian toothfish.
