Parts of coastal Louisiana and Mississippi are now under a Hurricane Watch as Hurricane Ida makes its way through the Gulf of Mexico. The Hurricane Watch is in effect from Grand Isle, Louisiana to the Mississippi/Alabama border. New Orleans is not affected by the watch. At 10 a.m. Eastern time, the center of Ida was about 80 miles west-southeast of the western tip of Cuba.
