Mika Poutala of Finland has won the men's 500 meters at a World Cup long-track speedskating event. Poutala finished in 34.38 seconds on Friday at the meet in Calgary, Alberta. Jamie Gregg of Canada and Joji Kato of Japan were initially both timed in 34.45 seconds. The ISU originally awarded both men silver medals, but later determined that Kato actually finished 0.006 of a second ahead.
