NEW HAVEN — Playwright Athol Fugard has no intention of ever giving up his South African passport or his home there, but for much of the past decade, he’s lived in Southern California — long enough it appears, to examine the American psyche for fodder in his latest work “Have You Seen Us?” It has its world premiere Tuesday at Long Wharf Theatre with Sam Waterston starring through Dec. 20.
