Tottenham: Four men arrested over pedestrian's crash death

Four men have been arrested after a pedestrian was run over and killed.

At about 01:00 BST, police responded to reports of a collision on Risley Avenue in Tottenham, north London. The pedestrian, a man in his 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene.

In a statement, the Met Police said the four men were believed to have been travelling in the car at the time of the collision.

They have been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

The Met said its inquiries were continuing and the men remained in police custody. The victim's family has been informed of his death.

Investigators are appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision, or who may have dashcam footage or information, to call police or contact Crimestoppers anonymously.
