I-70 near Downtown back open after tractor-trailer fire

A tractor-trailer fire on Interstate 70 near Front Street closed the highway and backed up traffic near Downtown Columbus for about an hour Tuesday.

The fire was reported shortly before noon near exit 101A. All lanes of Interstate 70 west were initially closed at the Interstate 71 interchange. The highway has since reopened.

The tractor-trailer was on the right shoulder when the fire was reported.

There was no immediate word on whether anyone was injured in the blaze.
