The social media world was ablaze last week following the death of Oscar-winning actor and comedian Robin Williams.

The star, known for his roles in films such as "Good Will Hunting" and "Mrs. Doubtfire," died from apparent suicide at his California home on August 11, with his wife Susan Schneider since stating that he was suffering from the early stages of Parkinson's disease at the time.

In the days following the incident, Williams's Facebook page received 3,906,912 likes and his Twitter account gained over half a million (507,051) followers.

Second in the Starcount chart was Swedish video game commentator PewDiePie, real name Felix Kjellberg. The online star received 99,279,235 views on YouTube and 98,346 Facebook likes.
