I think the super PACs are going to end up hurting canidates in the end because the majority of free thinking people in this country know just how criminal it is and are going to vote for the guy or gal that is getting his or her message out the old fashioned way, without influence from corporations or billionaires that have nothing better to do with all their money.
      • Tom 3 mths ago
I agree. The Supreme Court made a bad call. It now means "people" who has a lot of money will influence the elections. Very bad call indeed.

Got to trust the American people (the real people - not corporations) to see through the smoke and mirrors.
      • Neo 3 mths ago
True, however the majority of people in this country are not free thinkers.

It's obvious that Republicans really don't want to vote for Romney. Every chance they get, they vote for someone else, looking for anyone who isn't Romney.

If the GOP can't convince Republicans to vote for him, what chance does he have in the general election?
      • Diamond State Son 3 mths ago
        Well said.
      • kevinl 3 mths ago
Their only chance is a couple billion dollars worth of lies about Obama being a Muslim athiest.
      • sillyrabbit 3 mths ago
Or that he sat in Rev. Wright's church for 20 years and that his political career was launched at a party thrown by Bill Aires.
    • Topkick  •  3 mths ago
It's really a matter of choice. What candidate can win the nomination versus what candidate can win the General Election. And no really exciting AND conservative option. Can GOP voters compromise? Or is that still a dirty word?
      • Karl 3 mths ago
        Dirty word.

If the church wants to be involved in politics maybe they should start paying taxes
      • JANET 3 mths ago
everyone in the pews pays taxes, the church building and admin do not, and that is very few. The church you are talking about are the people because the church is the people of america who are involved politics. Maybe you should know what you are talking about.

Everyone working at Wal-Mart pays taxes.... that does not exempt Wal-Mart from paying taxes does it?

I once heard some sage advice: "Maybe you should know what you are talking about".

Santorum's wins show how out of touch with reality the far right wing of the GOP is.
    • WhatsTheRush  •  3 mths ago
      Hey...let the 1% fight Santorum's next war.
    • ellquestion authority  •  3 mths ago
reads to me that the drop in voter turnouts means in the end, few if any people will vote for anyone, of any party in november. people are burned out on being lied to and left with the bills.
    • WhatsTheRush  •  3 mths ago
Come on...Santorum...really? Does that guy look like the leader of the greatest nation on Earth? He's a dweeb and a Milquetoast.
      • JANET 3 mths ago
Does Obama look like a great leader of this great nation :( He is a telepromtor reader only) Don't ask him to be non scripted. He did nothing as a seantor and is doing nothing as a president
      • marty s 3 mths ago
Worse than that, Santorum is a religious robot with the thinking skills of a middle school child.

I'm sick and tired with the pundits saying that Romney is the GOP's anointed one. If that is true then he wasn't anointed by us. Why go through this and spend millions if this is true.
    • Howie  •  Wallingford, Connecticut  •  3 mths ago
In MO, Santorum actually received the majority of votes 55%. Romney has not received a majority anywhere so far, if I am not mistaken.
    • Watserety  •  3 mths ago
Republicans seem awfully depressed and downright testy. Well, who can blame them? Look at the dungheap they have in their ClownCar. That is enough to depress anyone. Especialy when they have no way out but to choose one of the dungs.

I am liberal as far as freedom and equal rights to all(under constitution) goes... but I am conservative as far as money goes in government spending.
    • Jill  •  Cedar Rapids, Iowa  •  3 mths ago
Let's see...so far the Republicans have come up with a multi-millionare Mormon who does not give a rat's tail about the poor, a religious fanatic who sounds more like a 700 Club fanatic than a candidate and whose name sounds like sanitarium, a philandering pandering professional politician who acts like, and is named after, a lizard, and Ron Paul, who made sense until he challenged all the others to a bicycle race...is it too late for the party to throw these four out and start over?? You think they would have come up with something better after the McCain/Palin disaster last time. Seriously, if I have to choose one of those 4 or Obama, I will vote for Obama.

Santorum was kicked out of Pennsylvania--they knew him best!!
    • J  •  3 mths ago
Santorum won nothing but some free air time on the bobble head channels. Don't get me wrong: I like the guy, mainly because he PlSSES OFF faqs so much.
    • Ronald  •  3 mths ago
      Santorum is dull
    • POTUS43  •  3 mths ago
stupid people voting for a stupid goat-porking Hillbilly... stunning? don't think so.
    • K ID  •  3 mths ago
If these elections last night were as meaningless as some Romney supporters would have us believe, why did he bother competing? And what does it say about Romney that he lost them?
