Pardon the residents of Brisbane, Australia for being just a bit excited. It's not often you get to spot Thor at work.

Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston are in the city to film scenes for the latest instalment of the Marvel film series Thor: Ragnarok, with hundreds of onlookers trying their best to squeeze a glimpse of the stars on Monday morning.

Parts of Brisbane's central business district has been blocked off and turned into New York City's downtown for the film, which will be used for filming until Thursday, according to ABC News.

Thor: Ragnarok isn't due to be released until November 2017, but in the meantime you can check out what they've been up to Down Under.

The cabs have been plucked straight out of New York City.

As have the traffic lights and the crowds.

Onlookers tried catch a glimpse of Thor. Don't you people have jobs?

If you shout 'Thor' loud enough, you'll get yourself a wave.

Maybe not if you shout out 'Hemsy', though.

Action! And the streets move just like New York City.

Oh nothing, just Hiddleston and Hemsworth hanging out on set.

But perhaps they're better suited to selling newspapers.
