Twitterrific 5 for Twitter review

Twitterrific 5 allows you to customize how you view your tweets. With an easily customizable toolbar and smooth switching for multiple accounts, this app seems well suited for the power tweeter.

Pros

Easy setup: Twitterrific 5 doesn't require any kind of sign up, nor does it ask for your email address. You just have to grant it access to your Twitter accounts and then select which accounts you wish to sync to the app.

Customizable toolbar: There are three icons across the toolbar: a "home" icon that displays your primary Twitter feed, an "@" icon for mentions, and a "mail" icon for direct messages. You can add "favorites" or "today," allowing you to only view the types of tweets you prefer.

Multiple accounts: The great downside of the primary Twitter app has always been managing multiple accounts. Twitterific 5 does that admirably, making it easy to both add and switch between active accounts.

Swipe gestures: If you swipe to the right on any given tweet, it instantly opens a "reply" tweet. If you swipe the other way, you can view the entire thread relating to that tweet. The navigation is seamless and responsive.

Cons

Display: The colors used in the response and mentions tab are not very appealing. A pale yellow background coupled with orange text isn't too pretty, though it is easy to read.

Bottom Line

While not necessarily stylish, Twitterrific 5 is a very functional Twitter app. The swiping navigation system works very well, and reading tweets and tweeting from the app is overall quicker and easier than most alternatives.
