Twitter has announced it has improved its algorithms to display tailored trends to users, based on their location and who they're following on Twitter.

The tailored trends will appear to users by default on Twitter's web site as well as Twitter's mobile apps for iPhone and Android. Users who want to revert back to the "standard" trend list can do so by changing their location on twitter.com.

Apple has confirmed its professional-grade desktop computer line, the Mac Pro, will get a redesign, which will "likely be released in 2013."

UK Reopens Investigation Into Google Street View

UK's data regulator has reopened its investigation into Google's Street View, which has been subject to scrutiny after it was revealed Google's vehicles collected payload WiFi data from unsuspecting users.

Google has maintained that the data was collected inadvertently, but a recent investigation by the FCC found a Google engineer has done so on purpose. Now, the British Information Commissioner's Office wants Google to explain why it hadn't provided more information earlier.
