KAMPALA (Reuters) - Uganda's coffee exports fell 13 percent to 224,803 60-kg bags in December compared with the same month a year ago, a report by the Uganda Coffee Development Authority (UCDA) said on Thursday. The report did not give a reason for the fall but an industry source said "rains in parts of the central region disrupted harvesting and transportation from rural areas." The report also forecast Uganda would export 230,000 bags this month from 391,514 bags in same period last year, without elaborating on the reasons for the decline.
