Philadelphia and Boston are the wrong cities to ask about how to fight gang problems. They are mired in gangs and flash mobs are terrorizing a defensless city. If you want to figure out how to fight a gang issue go to Dallas. Their solution is to allow their citizens to shoot back. Areas with high gun ownership have lower crime rates. Get the Lord Mayor and the PM a copy of More Guns Less Crime by Dr John Lott and he will see documented proof. The last chapter citing the efforts of anti gun academics to discredit the book will provide needed levity in such harsh times. The experiment in slavery has failed. Free men must be allowed to defend themselves, if you need Mr Prime Minister look out your window.

Uh...why don't you look at America entirely? Guns=No Looting. Sure there's riots here, but nobody is going to try and ransack a store when the owner might have a gun. Its not worth getting your head blown off over a pair of Nike shoes.

Is Boston a hot spot for gangs? I would have said NY, LA, or Chicago.

Boston did have gang problems in 1773. Currently, the city is gangs free. Cameron should look at Great Britain for great inspiration.

Just let the Irish control it. It will be under control in no time. That's who runs Boston.

Rather than look at American cities and how they deal with gangs, why not deal with the banks and corporations that shipped jobs to Asia and caused the youth of England to be unemployed?

Immigration is the problem, deportation is the solution.

Give all your citizens guns. This would never happen in my neighborhood! In america, We have something called self protection of you and your property. And we can shoot if we feel there is any being infringed upon. Similar to the America Revolution..... Only against thugs!

Those tough Irish Catholics in Boston know what keeps the blacks in line. Long ago, those irishmen judged that the darkies understand the lash only!! When the feds tried to bus the black "students" to white schools, Boston Irish made the 50's and 60's South look like a genteel suburb.

This is why I started reading the newspaper again. It takes too long to read and understand what these writers are trying to say.

Nothing will change anytime soon in the UK because the mentality there is based on upper class ruling. Always has & it will remain unless they make major changes. Just about every Brit you meet that is white has that "I am better than you" attitude.
