    UN condemns attack against Israel

UNITED NATIONS (AP) — The U.N. Security Council is strongly condemning the terrorist attack aimed at Israel in India and the attempted terrorist attack in Georgia.

The bombing in New Delhi injured the wife of an Israeli diplomat and her driver while an attempted attack the same day in Georgia was thwarted.

The Security Council said late Thursday that "any acts of terrorism are criminal and unjustifiable regardless of their motivations, whenever and by whomsoever committed." It reaffirmed the need to combat threats to peace caused by terrorist acts.

Israel's U.N. Ambassador Ron Prosor, who had urged the council to condemn the terrorist acts, welcomed the statement, saying "after seven years of silence, the Council has finally spoken against the terrorism that the Israeli people face every day."

Good Lord, stop the presses. Did the headline say "U.N. Condemns Attack on Israel"? When was the last time THAT happened? I am certain that tinpot third world dictators and their bootlicking supporters in Europe and America are in a state of catatonia over that! I darn near am myself.

most of the world including its neighbours do not recognise israel, which they are right about. call them third world dictators all you want, the fact remains that israel is not a legal state and it has no right to exist. US support for israel is based on injustice resulting in the world hating US as hypocratical. building a country on someone else's land and democracy can not be one and the same thing!

The UN is like a crossing guard. Useless against a speeding and disengaged driver. And the kids pay the price.

While I agree, it's nice to know the UN isn't "always blind" when it comes to Israel.

I honestly don't see the point of the UN anymore.

The UN has also condemned the attacks against the Syrian people by its own government. Look how effective that was.

U N ruling does not mean nothing since it was created. Almost every resolution was broken and the results were devastating ! At least this time U N sided with Israel and may be next time will side with Iran if Mosad bombs another scientist .

The UN is a moral voice that lacks teeth. What are the consequences of a condemnation from this body? The nations in the Security Council can have their collective decisions voided by one nation. The General Assembly votes in packs. We see that the only forces that choose to act are groups of nations that are relecs of the cold war who inspire paranoia in their former enemies and resentment from local populations because these forces are not culturally sensitive to the nations and people they claim they are acting to serve. It does seem to be in need of revision.

They need to send that message to Iran in such a way that their president-by-stealing-the-election can't ignore it.

So is "a" for #$%$ I think it is. First, spell "Israel" correctly you #$%$ arab piece of garbage. Second, why dont you expound on the fact that 50 countries in the UN are muslim, and that muslims tend to vote together regardless of who is in the wrong or right. It amazes me how people fail to see this. Or maybe you see it and you just ignore it.
      • Damien 3 mths ago
And you, you ignorant POS Yid. Look at how you spelled don't. #$%$ Here's a little diddy for you, written by one of your own, probably using dried foreskin: Between the years 250 CE and 1948 CE - a period of 1,700 years - Jews have experienced more than eighty expulsions from various countries in Europe - an average of nearly one expulsion every twenty-one years. Jews were expelled from England, France, Austria, Germany, Lithuania, Spain, Portugal, Bohemia, Moravia and seventy-one other countries." Gee, I wonder why (NOT)..

The UN has spoken, well that should just fix everything.
    • Christina  •  Rocklin, California  •  3 mths ago
This should have been the top news story everywhere... Israel is finally getting the support of the U.N.'s word?
    • usjustice101  •  3 mths ago
Nice, but where is the UN condemnation for all the rocket attacks from Gaza into Israel? For all the murders of civilians commited by the palestinians? Considering there were THOUSANDS such attacks -- 40 rocket attacks this year alone -- there should be thousands of UN resolutions condemning palestinian terrorism! WHERE ARE those resolutions!?
Meanwhile Israel is being held up to the standards of the Geneva convention, when they are defending themselves from criminals who abide by no convention other than the indiscriminate slaughter of Israeli civilians! Where is the justice in that?
    • Piggy  •  3 mths ago
I do not support the overall UN agenda, but I do agree with them on this one point. Whatever a persons political motivations, the taking of innocent life to achieve them is unacceptable.
    • Ben  •  3 mths ago
Suddenly Israel cares what the UN says? They should start complying with resolutions then.
