Universal has confirmed the dates for the ninth and tenth installments of its blockbuster Fast & Furious franchise.

The studio has penciled in April 19, 2019 for the ninth sequel, and April 2, 2021 for the tenth and, for the moment, final film in the series. The tenth film being released in 2021 would mean Fast & Furious will have spanned two decades by its conclusion.

The eighth film, Fast 8, is set to hit theaters April 14, 2017 and will be directed by Straight Outta Compton’s F. Gary Gray.

Yahoo Movies Note: That Instagram post was preceded by Diesel teasing his announcement (photo below): “The studio has asked me to release some very big Fast news,” the actor wrote. “As most of you know I like to stay in character [referring to xXx 3, currently in production] for the most part when given the opportunity to make magic. However, it was Toretto Tuesday and the studio gave me big news to share… So I will share it.”
