Unreleased ABBA track on new album

STOCKHOLM (AP) — Mamma Mia, here they go again.

ABBA fans will soon again be saying "Thank you for the music" with the release of a new track on a special edition of the disbanded 70's pop group's "The Visitors" album.

The record, including new track "From a Twinkling Star to a Passing Angel," is the first official new release by the Swedish group in 18 years.

Universal Music Group spokeswoman Mia Segolsson said Friday that the special edition of "The Visitors" — originally released in 1981 — will be available in stores from April 23.

ABBA — Agnetha Faeltskog, Benny Andersson, Bjoern Ulvaeus and Anni-Frid Lyngstad — split in 1982. The band has never reunited.

Known for catchy hits in the 70s and 80s — such as "Dancing Queen," and "Money, Money, Money" — ABBA have sold 400 million records worldwide.

Best ABBA song EVER are anything coming from Frida & Agnetha's early 80's (pop-rock) solo albums. Absolutely NO disco on either album.

A medley of demos? That's not a "new" song. I'd have been much happier if the unreleased gem from 1982 "Just Like That" had been included instead.

Why did so many people give my comment about 80's prog rock supergroup Asia a thumbs down? I can't help that I like Asia better than I do ABBA. At least Asia can rock!

"ABBA — Agnetha Faeltskog, Benny Andersson, Bjoern Ulvaeus and Anni-Frid Lyngstad — split in 1982" and "The record, including new track "From a Twinkling Star to a Passing Angel," is the first official new release by the Swedish group in 18 years". So 1982+18= 2012???? Something's not right here!

It should have listed Agnetha Faeltskog as Princess Agnetha. She married into royalty.

New Album?? How can it be New if they had Not played together since 1982? What is New is just a song that was Not heard yet, correct? I always liked Abba, but this is Not really Good News using the words "New Album". Even Re-issued songs from other bands are not New. Just another CD to buy, with Most of the same old songs on it, cept a New one, you have not heard. So just Download the New song instead of buying the whole stupid CD, right? But all in all Abba "WAS" a great band!!!

this is news? nothing against abba as i think benny and bjorn were brilliant songwriters and producers..but big deal about an unreleased cut. artists are doing it all the time on re-issue bonus tracks.

When it comes to ABBA music, you gotta have a turntable to listen to their records. It's the only way one can enjoy. Vinyl music sounds so much better than digital.

for those who have no idea who ABBA is or what this article is about just think of your favorite artist and how much money he can draw and how many albums he's sold and remember that just a few years ago ABBA turned down a billion dollars to reunite and tour!!!!! can your guy hold a candle to that? mostly likely not even close!
