‘Unsettled week:’ When storms could turn severe

(WJW) – Fog in our southeastern communities this morning. Visibility has dropped below a mile in some areas.

A cool but comfortable start to the day with temperatures in the 50s.

Seasonably cool afternoon with temperatures in the mid to upper 60s. Mostly cloudy skies.

A weak disturbance will move south of our area that could bring a stray rain shower, but most of us should remain dry on Monday. A better chance for some breaks of sunshine for those closer to the lakeshore.

Rain and thunderstorms return on Tuesday. A line of strong to severe storms is expected to move in late Tuesday into early Wednesday. The SPC already has a Slight Risk for severe weather in some parts of the area.

An unsettled week ahead with only a couple of days where we’re mostly dry. No day is a complete wash-out. We would call it partly to mostly cloudy with a few passing showers or rumbles of thunder at times.

Cooler temperatures return as we head into Mother’s Day Weekend. We wrap up the week with temperatures ranging about 5° below average.
