    URAC Announces Panel of Key Policy Makers to Present at 12th Annual Quality Summit

    Nation’s Leading Accreditation and Education Organization Brings Together Thought Leaders to Discuss Federal and State Health Policy Initiatives

    URAC, the nation’s leading health care accreditation and education organization, today announced that several key policy makers and thought leaders will lead a discussion, titled “Federal and State Health Policy Initiatives: Impact on the Nation’s Health Care Landscape”, at URAC’s 12th Annual Quality Summit. This session is among the many high-level topics which will be addressed by CEOs and other executives from across the health care industry.

    As health care reform implementation continues, its implications remain a key focus of the domestic political discussion. URAC is bringing together this panel of health care policy leaders to address pivotal issues with lively discussions and analyses on public policy decisions and proposals that will shape the U.S. health care system for years to come. The panel includes:

    The panelists represent diverse governmental stakeholders engaged in health care reform implementation. “State legislators, regulators and purchasers are playing critical roles in determining whether and how Health Benefit Exchanges and other aspects of the Affordable Care Act will move forward in their states,” said Alan P. Spielman, URAC president and CEO. “We look forward to exploring their perspectives at the URAC Quality Summit.”

    URAC’s 12th Annual Quality Summit and Awards program will include a keynote address by CNN Senior Medical Correspondent Elizabeth Cohen, as well as innovative break-out sessions and networking events. Professionals from across the health management spectrum will come together to dialogue with national thought leaders and experts on how to navigate the new health care environment while protecting consumers and delivering value.
