Veep: Hugh Laurie Makes His Debut in the Hilarious Season 4 Trailer (VIDEO)
We're a little more than a month out from one of the most important days of the year: Veep Premiere Day, a.k.a. Sunday, April 12! (Veep Premiere Day is also Game of Thrones Premiere Day and Silicon Valley Premiere Day.) And to celebrate, HBO has just released the first footage from the underappreciated series' fourth season.
In Season 4, Julia Louis-Dreyfus's Selina Meyer will be setting up shop in the Oval Office after becoming president on a technicality—the president stepped down to care for his ailing wife—and what she says goes, because as Mike points out in the trailer below, she's like a "real-life Mariah Carey." Of course, this is Veep we're talking about and Selina is still Selina, so the same hilarious problems that plagued her life as the veep are still present... it's just that now she faces even more pressure.
The trailer also offers a quick glimpse of Hugh Laurie in his first major TV role since House, which was was first announced in November. Have a look:
The only thing missing was a well-placed Jonah insult. Oh well, I'm sure there will be plenty to go around in Season 4.
