The Ventura Film Society will screen ?La Source? at 7:15 p.m. tonight at 420 E. Santa Clara in Ventura. In ?La Source,? water does not come easily. For the past two hundred years, villagers of this remote Haitian village have had to choose either to endure a dangerous and physically taxing walk to fetch clean water, or drink contaminated water from a nearby river. This documentary is the story of Josue and his brother fulfilling the dream of their late father to provide clean water for their rural, impoverished village in Haiti. Filmmaker Patrick Shen will attend. General admission is a $10 donation with senior and student tickets $7.
