    Veterans: 'We Do it Because We Care'

    Yahoo! News asked veterans and their families to share brief reflections on Memorial Day -- what it means to them and how they're impacted.

    As a little sister to an Iraqi veteran, Memorial Day for me is a time to look back and realize how amazing my brother is. He was a sergeant in the Marine Corps and he is my hero. He served his country for eight years in Iraq and Kosovo from 2000 to 2008. When asked what one thing Americans should know about veterans, my brother's answer was, "We do it because we care." Thank you, troops, for caring.
