Video: How to fix iPhone 6’s protruding camera (DO NOT try this at home)
Apple’s new iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus aren’t just bigger than any previous iPhones, they also feature a completely overhauled design that is easily the most polarizing iPhone design Apple has ever created. Some people absolutely love it, others positively hate it, and some people have mixed feelings about certain aspects of the 2014 iPhones’ new look.
Wherever you land on that wide spectrum, it’s easy to see why the peculiar plastic antenna lines and the protruding camera lens on the back of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus might be off-putting for some users, but a new video highlights one way to fix the second of those two design issues.

YouTube user “PeripateticPandas” posted a new video on Monday that we shouldn’t have to preface with a warning, but we’re going to anyway: Do not try this at home.
With that out of the way, it looks like there is indeed a solution to help improve the camera lens design on the new iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, and it also allows the phone to sit flat on a table without the need for a case. All you need to do is use a high-powered grinding machine to rip the sapphire crystal and metal off of the back of your phone.
