Video shows huge Xbox One speed improvements compared to Xbox 360

One huge hit: Microsoft sells 1 million Xbox Ones in 24 hours

Good news for Xbox fans: It looks like booting up the next-generation console won’t take nearly as long as booting up the Xbox 360. A video posted on YouTube purportedly shows the Xbox One’s home screen getting booted up in less than five seconds, a significant improvement from the boot time of the current Xbox. It shouldn’t be surprising that the Xbox One fires up so quickly since Microsoft has made shortening boot times a key focus of its work with Windows 8 and since the next-generation console features a big boost in hardware with an eight-core 1.6GHz processor and 8GB of RAM. The video purportedly showing the Xbox One’s boot screen follows below.
