A number of rumors have surfaced about Apple doing away with the headphone jack on the iPhone 7. Now, we have a peek at what that might actually look like.

On Friday, a video surfaced showing how Lightning port-enabled EarPods might work, in this case using what appears to be an iPhone 6S.

The YouTuber doesn't go into great detail beyond showing that the EarPods actually work, so it's unclear if this is a third-party device or a legitimate piece of Apple hardware leaked early into the wild.

In any case, the proof of concept video, which shows how seamlessly the new EarPod might work, may help allay some of the concerns of iPhone users who aren't ready to let go of the classic headphone jack.

We'll know soon if this could-be early leak is the real thing as Apple is expected to announce the iPhone 7 in September.
