Video: Watch Apple’s Eddy Cue shop with Apple Pay

Apple fixed an annoying iPhone 6 bug that was ruining Apple Pay for some users

Apple’s mobile payment solution is already off to a great start, according to various reports which say Apple Pay is more popular than any existing alternative, and is helping other NFC-based contactless payments products that have been available to smartphone users for a number of years pick up steam. KTLA’s The Tech Report has further detailed Apple Pay in a video segment featuring Apple’s senior vice president of Internet software and services Eddy Cue who took Rich DeMuro out for a quick Apple Pay shopping spree.

Using Apple Pay only, Cue ordered and paid for food at Panera, bought sunglasses ad Bloomingadle’s and gifts for kids from the Disney Store. Cue explained some of the security features of Apple Pay — including the fact that some stores will require a signature from the buyer — and said that Apple Pay’s online payments feature also works on Apple’s 2014 iPads, including the iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 3, though they can’t be used in actual retail stores for goods purchases like the iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus.

The video showing DeMuro’s interview with Cue and the Apple Pay demos follows below.
