Video: Watch someone try to kill the Galaxy S6 with fire

Is “Will it burn?” the new “Will it blend?” One YouTuber is hoping that’s the case as he offers up a new kind of torture test to add to the growing list of Galaxy S6 abuse tests we’ve seen so far. Most tests involve dropping Samsung’s new flagship phone onto concrete to see how the new glass housing stands up to pavement — surprisingly well, judging by this test — but a new video seeks out unique ways to torture Samsung’s latest and greatest.

YouTube user “JerryRigEverything” recently posted a video that started out looking like a pretty run-of-the-mill Galaxy S6 scratch test. Using things like a key and a box cutter, he tried to scratch the phone’s Gorilla Glass 4 display cover. As expected, the phone escaped completely unscathed.

Then, things took an interesting turn. The YouTube user takes a lighter and tries to burn the phone on its aluminum edges as well as its screen. Why? Why not, we suppose — and unsurprisingly, it doesn’t ignite.

Next, he tries to bend the Galaxy S6 with all his might several times and it survives completely unharmed. After many, many tries however, he finally bends the phone permanently. Because… #bendgate?
