Bakersfield topped out at 76 degrees today and all valley locations came in above normal today. That all changes overnight as our next winter storm system blows in from Alaska. Rain and snow totals will be light but from Kings Canyon to Yosemite 5 to 10 inches of snow will fall above 5,000 feet. We'll get a short break on Thursday morning but overnight into Friday a colder storm moves in lowering snow levels to 3,500 feet and that could impact travel over the Grapevine.
