BJP leader, who also happens to be the Chairman of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) of the parliament that scrutinises various national issues, stated that the central government's latest auction of telecom scam allocations is absurd and 'unsatisfactory' and a probe is required. Calling the latest bidding of 2G spectrum allocations as substandard, Joshi observed that the major players did not come forward to manipulate the loss calculated by the apex audit body the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG). The central Government had begun the auction for the 2G spectrum with a hope to meet the rupees 40,000 crore (400 billion) revenue budget.
