Weightlifter Blacks Out During Lift
Tor-Martin Trongmo Tangen was attempting a PB in the clean and jerk lift when he forgot the golden rule: breathe. As Tangen finished the lift, his brain lacked the oxygen to keep conscious, so he collapsed to the ground with the weights on top of him. Tangen said he couldn’t remember falling: “Suddenly there were numerous people standing around me. I quickly came to myself, but didn’t realize what had happened before I actually stood up.” Credit: YouTube/On Hands Channel

Powerlifter Collapses Under Barbell While Attempting Personal Best
Powerlifter Martin Nguyen was trying to break his 172.5kg personal best in the front squat and raise it to 180kg when things went dramatically wrong. Nguyen started to feel faint, and as the front squat does not allow for a spotter, there was nobody to catch the weights when his knees buckled. Although the fall was painful, with 180kg landing right on top of his midsection, Nguyen was not injured seriously. Credit: PTCFrankston.

Bizarre Cross Trainer Gym Workout
Jeff Monk captured this random dance routine at his gym by a elliptical cross trainer user. Most gym users have seen some funny workout routines, but this is up there with the best. Going totally against the rhythm of the cross trainer, the gym bunny in this video must think he’s on stage rather than mid-workout. Credit:Jeff Monk.
